Session Notes: February 2024

Your Session sat for its regular monthly meeting this week.

Like the proverbial duck paddling energetically under water, though you may not see it we’re moving ahead on many fronts: Clerk of Session Becky Koenig reported on our antiracism initiatives, we acted on some timely personnel and budget matters, and were updated on the Holy Cow survey that is currently in the field.

The survey results will be presented to us on March 21.  In the meantime (and as soon as possible), it’s important that you complete and return your individual survey.  We promise that -- besides helping the church -- you’ll come away with insights into your personal faith.

Coming next in our pastor search, presbytery representatives will schedule listening sessions with the congregation and the choir.  Please watch for details.

By the way, every Session meeting begins with a period of spiritual reflection.  This year, we’re studying the book “Sailboat Church” by Rev. Joan Gray.  It’s been so enlightening to us that we recommend it to you.
