Session Notes: May 2022

Your Session sat, by Zoom, for its regular monthly meeting this week. We’ve begun our third year meeting virtually. To be honest, it’s hard not to feel fatigue. We imagine the same may be true for you, too – including in your church life.

So we talked about exhaustion and renewal in the context of the New Testament story of Tabitha (our lectionary scripture Sunday). We’re interested in what renews our spirit and gives us energy, both personally and as a community. How or where do we discover new life?

Speaking of which, there are several “green shoots” to report. Attendance for Easter services was excellent, and regular attendance is approaching pre-pandemic levels (although most of this is still online). New member classes will be starting again soon. And we’ll likely have a college intern this summer for the first time in several years.

That’s all for now. Thanks for reading.
