Worship Ministry: June Worship
Western Friends,
We’re excited to share with you that next month brings some worship services we hope will deepen our connections in faith as a community living into God’s love and justice, and we want you to join us in person!
• June 5 – Pentecost Celebration and Communion with a Picnic after worship
• June 12 – Pride Sunday, with a More Light -themed worship
• June 19 – Observing Juneteenth – the federal holiday commemorating June 19, 1865, when formerly enslaved people in Galveston, Texas received word of their emancipation, two months after the end of the Civil War, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
We know that for many of you, returning to in-person church has been a challenge. We miss you in our spiritual community. As a follow-up to Irene’s question this past Sunday, regarding what you want to see as part of church or what might help you participate, we want to connect and follow up with anyone who has a constructive thought, simple suggestion, or inspired idea for growing our in-person worshiping community!
Would you like to talk? Because we’d like to follow up with you. Click here to email the church [info@westernpresbyterian.org], and we will follow up within the week. And we always look forward to seeing you in worship!
Love,
