Session Notes: February 2018

Session met on Tuesday, February 13. Here are the highlights:

• Ari Brose, chair of the stewardship ministry, reported on the 2018 campaign. Members have already pledged $357,000. There will be another push, with the campaign closing on March 15.
• The music ministry task force has started its work. John Bader explained the group has started by discussing music's role in our worship of God and helping Western grow. The task force will engage the congregation is a discussion about the music program and craft a position description for the new director of music.
• Western will hold contemplative Lenten worship services on Feb 18, Feb 25, and Mar 4. Lenten community discussion groups kick off the week of Feb 18.
