Session Notes - May 2018

Session had a very special meeting on Tuesday, May 8. Members of the Confirmation class shared their thoughtful, moving statements of faith with elders, deacons, parents and sponsors. They will become Western's newest members on Pentecost, May 20.Other highlights from the meeting:

• Western is in the final steps of negotiating its working agreement with Miriam's Kitchen. The Session will vote on the final document at the June meeting.
• This summer Western will offer a new worship service on Sunday evenings that focus on meditation and reflection. It kicks off on June 3.
• Save the date: Western will hold an all-church retreat October 20-21 at Camp Hanover, a Presbyterian conference center outside of Richmond.
