Western welcomes Elder Le Quan Turner as guest preacher on Sunday, April 28:

Ministry Journey

Le Quan was born into a family ofpreachers and teachers of the gospel.  Ata young age, she made a public confession of her faith and was baptized. She isa Ruling Elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC and servedas a Seminary Student Intern at Faith Presbyterian Church in Washington,DC.  She received her Master of Divinityat Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC.

Education and Career Highlights

 Le Quan is a nativeWashingtonian and a product of the Prince George’s County Public SchoolSystem. After graduating from high school, Le Quan earned her Associates ofArts degree in Secondary Education from Prince George’s CommunityCollege.  She went on to complete herBachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Language from the Universityof Maryland, College Park. Le Quan returned to her high school alma mater toteach American Literature and Spanish. She also exercised and sharpened her knowledge in her field of study asa middle school Language Arts teacher. Le Quan holds a Master of Arts degree inHuman Resource Development with a concentration in Training and Consulting fromBowie State University. Le Quan has been employed with the Federal governmentfor 20 years and is currently a Program Manager with the Office of Security andHazardous Materials Safety at the Federal Aviation Administration inWashington, DC. 

Le Quan is a worldtraveler and has traveled extensively throughout the United States andinternationally including Gambia, Senegal, Ghana, England, Spain, Morocco,Thailand, Dubai, Abu Dabi, Iceland, Australia, France, Italy, Columbia,Singapore, Indonesia, Egypt, and Japan.

She has been therecipient of numerous academic, performance, achievement, leadership, andmonetary awards from both private and public organizations.

Interest and Activities

Le Quan competed andfinished the 30th Annual Marine Corps Marathon; a 2 mile high, 120 mph freefall skydive.  She enjoys reading,traveling, shopping, community events and spending time with family andfriends.
