Ending Homelessness

A gift of $9500 was made to Calvary Women’s Services to help support their new housing programs expanding capacity by 80%. Calvary Women’s Services empowers homeless women to transform their lives through housing, health, education and employment programs.   You can help by providing start up furnishings and supplies for women moving into new homes.

Restoring theAnacostia River

A gift of $1500 was made to the Anacostia Watershed Society whose mission is to protect and restore the Anacostia River and its watershed communities by stopping pollution now, restoring natural systems, and reconnecting the community to the river.   In 2018, women from Calvary participated in a guided river tour provided by Anacostia Watershed Society and learned about the ecological issues affecting the river.
