A Word from Laura: August 14 – Invitation from the Personnel Ministry Team

Western Friends,

As we get ready for this fall, several invitations are coming your way, primarily an invitation to join us once again, in-person, as we prepare for a return to 11 am worship on September 11. Following in Jesus’ footsteps, extending the same invitation he shared with his first disciples, we invite you to “come and see” – and to serve and grow and welcome each other!

This week the Personnel Ministry Team invites you to come and find out more about what is happening around our staffing process. We’ll be both in-person and on-line following the worship service. (Yes, you’ll be able to take a break for coffee or refreshments or simply stretching your legs!) I’ll join Mimi Scotchmer and Kathy Hawk to share more about our staffing process and to answer questions you may have.

I want to take this opportunity to give thanks once again for our committed church staff. I am proud to serve alongside Shenella, Sterling, Patrick, Irene and Nancy – not to mention folks like Alec and Grace; ministry with them is a joy and a privilege.
