Session Notes - March 2018

Session met on Tuesday, March 13. Here are the highlights:

• Mark your calendars: Sunday, June 17 will be a morning of spectacular music as we celebrate Tom Beveridge's long and distinguished service leading Western's music program.
• Clearly, no one can replace Tom. But the music ministry task force is moving forward in its work. The group has created a job description for the director of music ministry position. The task force hopes that the director will build on Western's strong music tradition, continue to expand the breadth of musical traditions the church draws from, and encourage more participation. The goal is to fill the position by August 1 or September 1.
• Western and Northminster are sharing services this Holy Week. Western will host a Maundy Thursday service on March 29 at 6:30 and a Good Friday service with prayer stations on March 30 at noon. Northminster will host a 7 Last Words service on Good Friday at 7pm.
