Stewardship 2018: Generosity and Commitment

Western's ministry in Foggy Bottom, in the Washington region, and around the world, is made possible by you.

When you give to Western, you support our Mission Benevolence budget, which in turn provides help for women in crisis through Calvary Women’s Services, works to reunite immigrant families through Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services, and helps to shelter homeless LGBTQ youth in the District through Casa Ruby.

You allow us to support all kinds of families in our family of faith, whether through support for our Sunday school and nursery, or for our new All-Church Retreat.

You help us keep our building in great condition, not only for the sake of our worship and meetings, but for those who seek the help of Miriam’s Kitchen, who worship with the Muslim Student Association, or who come for counseling during the week.

This year our Stewardship goal is $420,000. Your pledge (of any amount, at any periodicity) helps the Finance Committee develop a budget for the coming year by letting us know what you intend to give.

You can make your pledge on the generosity cards available in the 24th St. lobby, or submit your pledge electronically on our Give page. You can also setup one-time or recurring giving for 2019 on that page.

Please make your pledge by November 5th, so that Western’s leadership will be assured of the necessary resources for our ministry in worship, mission and social justice partnership, and growing our community.

If you have any questions, please contact Stewardship leaders Ari Brose or Jesse Stanchak.
