Session Notes - January 2020

Your Session sat for its first regular monthly meeting of the year earlier this week.  We mostly dealt with housekeeping matters.  Two new elders, Annette Reilly and Ray Kim, joined us; Rebecca Jackson was elected to the important but unsung role of Clerk of Session.

We reviewed the leadership retreat held on Saturday, January 11, for elders and deacons.  There, we learned an organizational model from author Simon Sinek that will guide our planning in the months ahead.  A day’s seminar can’t be conveyed in one paragraph, but suffice to say that we will be focusing more on why we do things than what we do.

You’ll hear more about this in coming months, beginning with our annual congregation meeting on January 26.
